How to Play WARDOGS With Friends and Use Squads

WARDOGS exposes a server browser and in-game squad controls. A group must reach the same server, select the same faction and then join the same squad; completing only one or two of those steps does not guarantee private squad voice or shared organisation.

Reliable joining sequence

1. One player chooses a server with enough free slots.
2. Friends use Steam Join Game or select the same server manually.
3. Everyone confirms the same faction after loading.
4. Open the Escape menu and create or join one squad.
5. Test squad voice before spending on vehicles or specialist gear.

If the server fills, the faction becomes unavailable or a restart breaks the group, return to the browser and repeat from the server step. Community reports differ on practical squad limits and automatic grouping, so the live squad panel should settle the question for the current build.

Simple squad composition

A useful new-player group can combine two general infantry players, one Medic, one Recon or Support player, and a Driver or Pilot when transport is available. WARDOGS does not require that exact composition; it simply prevents everyone from buying the same expensive tool while ignoring revives, information and logistics.
