WARDOGS Progression and Unlocks Explained
How WARDOGS role XP, Wardog level, permanent unlock fees and per-life purchases work, with the confirmed Season 1 unlock moves for every major track.
WARDOGS has three costs that are easy to confuse: earning enough role XP to reveal an item, paying its permanent unlock fee, and buying that item again for a specific life. Planning around all three prevents a high-level unlock from emptying the account you need to use it.
The progression loop
- Perform actions associated with a role to earn that track’s XP.
- Reach the level that reveals an item.
- Pay the listed one-time unlock cost.
- Buy the unlocked item whenever you add it to a future loadout.
The published track names are Career, Medic, Recon, Support, Pilot and Driver. Community guides also describe infantry or assault progression; labels may vary by screen and build, so the in-game progression page is the final authority.
Season 1 progression speed
The launch changelog replaces beta pacing with a slower curve from level 6 onward. Its first explicit example moves level 6 from 8,750 XP to 9,250 XP. Higher levels increase more sharply, so beta estimates for “hours to unlock” should not be used as Season 1 promises.
Confirmed Season 1 moves
| Track | Item | Season 1 position |

| Career | Sports Parachute | Level 35 |

| Career | 7.62x54mm AP | Level 82 |
| Career | 5.56mm AP | Level 83 |
| Career | Deagle | Level 85 |
| Career | Artillery Tank | Level 90 |
| Medic | PP-19 50-round drum | Level 29 |
| Support | Large Hammer | Level 8 |
| Driver | URAL | Level 3 |

| Driver | Dune Buggy | Level 8 |
| Driver | Kodiak Flatbed | Level 10 |

| Driver | URAL Covered | Level 18 |
| Driver | Music Tape H | Level 23 |
| Driver | URAL Attack | Level 25 |
| Driver | Humvee with minigun | Level 30 |
| Driver | Heavy Tank | Level 35 |
The Artillery Tank also rose to a $500,000 permanent unlock. Support’s Large Hammer rose to $75,000, while several Pilot and Driver items changed price. See the Season 1 changelog for the full price table.
Which track to level first
- Recon: spotting contributes without requiring the final shot and helps the whole team.
- Medic: revives and healing combine income with direct objective value.
- Support: building useful FOB infrastructure creates a team spawn and advances the construction track.
- Driver and Pilot: transport earns while solving the map’s distance problem, but vehicles punish inexperienced handling.
Choose the track whose actions you will repeat naturally. Grinding an unlock through a role you dislike usually costs more time and cash than adapting your loadout.
